Want To Keep Your Car In Your Possession And Not In Thieves’? Read This!

We are pretty sure, that you’ve put a lot of work, money and effort into acquiring your beloved car and you obviously don't want someone to take it. We understand how buying new or used car, can be a big investment for you, thereby we at Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL) has brought this blog to help you out in keeping your car safe and secure from being stolen.

Theft of your beloved asset may sound like your worst nightmare come true, but the fact is, car theft is a big business in India. Auto theft is a national-level racket that runs into crores of rupees.

So, let’s read about some gadgets which you can use to keep you car in your possession.

1.Set Car Alarm
One advantage of car alarms is that they make it harder for a car thief to operate anonymously. Thieves don’t want attention. Thereby end up bypassing a car with an alarm for a vehicle without one.

2.Steering Wheel Lock Bar
A steering wheel lock bar slides over the steering wheel and locks in place, preventing a thief from being able to turn the wheel.

3.Kill Switch
A kill switch works either as a stand-alone device or with an alarm system. When a thief tries to start the car without a key, the kill switch cuts off the fuel to the car or shuts off the electrical system, preventing the thief from taking the car anywhere.

4.Brake Lock
A brake lock works by attaching to your brake pedal and locking behind it, making it impossible to suppress the brake until the device is removed. It is made out of hardened metal as well, making it difficult to cut.

5.Tracking Device
A tracking device uses GPS technology to follow your car after it is stolen, aiding in its recovery. Also, having a sticker on the car advertising the tracking device acts as a deterrent because thieves don’t want the hassle of trying to deactivate it and don’t want to risk capture by stealing a car that police can track.

Car theft is a serious problem, so always lock all your doors, keep your windows up and follow basic common sense whenever leaving your vehicle. Additional security measures do help prevent your car from being stolen, but only if you use them consistently and in the way they are intended.

These key points go for cars of any and every make & model. We are glad to help you be precautious to keep your car safe and secure from thieves. If this blog was of any help, Visit your nearby Automall or our website www.samil.in , to learn more about such Tips and Tricks in detail, at the same time Acquire and Dispose usedvehiclesandequipment at optimal prices. Amid road safety concerns, government makes airbag, speed alert, parking sensor must in cars

The union road transport ministry has approved a proposal to will make it compulsory for all car manufacturers to equip their cars with airbags, seat-belt reminders, alert systems for speeds beyond 80kmph, reverse parking alerts, as well as manual override over the central locking system for emergencies after July 1, 2019.

The move was approved to offer better passenger as well as pedestrian safety on India's roads as thousands of alone accounted for nearly 74,000 of the 1.51 lakh deaths in road accidents.

For the time being only luxury cars offers these kinds of crucial safety features thus getting the same implemented in all cars will make have an impact on the price, however it will be interesting to see if government offer subsidy for OEMs to obtain such products to minimize the cost impact.

All the new cars will have an audio warning feature who will give an alarm when the car crosses a speed of 80 Kmph, a more audible & serious alarm when it crosses 100 kmph and a non-stop alarm when the vehicle crosses 12 kmph.

Talking about the manual override system, it will ensure easy exit of passenger in case of an accident when due to electric power failure the central locking becomes non-functional and traps a passenger inside his car.

In order to reduce the possible accidents while parking in back gear, all cars will be fitted with parking sensors which will alert the driver if there are objects in the rear monitoring range.

All the above safety features will surely offer a safe and sound drive, however it will be interesting to see the kind of cost impact it would have on car price. In case of a major impact, new and first time car buyers may shift their preference towards buying a pre-owned car.

Let’s wait and see how this new move results in. However if you are looking for buying a pre-owned car than head straight over to Shriram Automall, the company offers best in class range of pre-owned cars of all makes and models to choose from under one roof.

Luxury car game will not be so strong if GST with higher cess gets implemented!

It’s no new news that India has proved to be a robust market for British luxury cars. Lately the industry has witnessed the further hike in exports or luxury cars from UK to India.

But now the cess on sports utility vehicles and luxury cars is likely to be increased to 25 % from the current 15 %, making these vehicles more expensive. The Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council has taken a decision to this effect but has not discussed this yet. The increase in the cess will take the effective tax rate on these cars to 53 %.

The Indian Automotive sector which has been one of the prime contributors to the GDP, was looking forward to welcome all new Automobiles in the Indian Automotive Market, manufactures were hoping to face the double demand for their product, thereby boosting the GDP as well. But if the higher cess on current GST regime gets approved by the government, the India’s luxury-car market, which was bracing for double-digit growth, may hit a roadblock. In such a scenario, sales could fall for second consecutive year in 2017.

The reason for this, according to the GST Council’s Fitment Committee, was that the post-GST tax incidence on motor vehicles across most categories was significantly lower than the pre-GST tax.

After a dismal performance in 2016, when the market shrank, luxury-car manufacturers had become upbeat when India set levies on the segment under goods and services tax at a lower rate compared with the previous regime.

They had immediately cut prices to pass on the benefit to consumers, who had responded positively, pushing up demand. But earlier this month, the GST Council decided to raise the cess changed on large cars and utility vehicles to 25% from 15%, taking the total tax incidence to 53% (28% GST plus 25% cess).

If this government’s decision gets implemented, luxury car manufacturers will have to increase the price which will affect the demand in India for these cars leading to a double-digit drop in sales, affected future investments and job losses.

Are You a Young Driver? Go for SAMIL’s Used Car/Bike

For most young people and their parents, buying the first car is quite a big step. As most teen drivers stand a greater risk of crashing than anyone else on the road, regardless of whether the car is new or used, expensive or slovenly.

I am Pushkar Arora (22); I completed my Second Year 3 months back, and wanted to buy my own car as an upgrade in the next year of college. I learned driving a year ago, and from then I am quite keen to drive my own car.

With time many car models caught my eyes, but my dad never agreed to buy me one. That was frustrating, yet one of the best decisions he ever made for me. As being the young driver, I was quite confident, yet unaware of what driving on crowded streets of Delhi is like.

But my dad was quite aware of this fact and was not at all in favor of either giving me his beloved car or buying me a new one.

So, he introduced me to ShriramAutomall India Limited (SAMIL), the Largest Platform for Acquisition & Disposal of used Vehicles and Equipments in India. At first I was not so happy with the idea of buying a used car, but then he took me to one of the nearby Automall that company has and I was surprised to see the variety they had.

There, they had used cars of every make and model at optimal prices. They even let me inspect the cars thoroughly; some of the models were even hard to be placed in “used” category, as they were in such a good condition.

And also, I got the better model of the car I always wanted in the same budget of the new one. I was happy; satisfied as company’s professional team treated me as the valuable customer and cleared all my doubts I had about the “used cars”. They even helped in completing the required paper work and then handed over the keys of my new “used car” to me.

I was happy, my dad was happy, as he don’t have to worry about the depreciation in its value when we will re-sell it, as value of the used car depreciate quite less as compared to that of the new car.

And I was happy, as I finally got my own car, that too at the optimal price, with good quality as a perk.

So, if you are looking forward to buy or sell pre owned vehicles and equipment Shriram Automall’s team is right there to provide you best of their services while making your experience both easy and memorable. All you have to do is take a step forward and click this link:

In India, driving a truck is the profession which affects Indian economy directly. Government is taking all the necessary steps for the betterment of Road Transport in India while keeping in mind the health & comfort of truck drivers.

As driving a truck is quite a tiresome job, especially for the drivers who drive hundreds of kilometers, during the day regardless of the weather conditions, which can be risky due to the fatigue driving most of the time.

Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL) has bought some tips and tricks to boost the driver’s experience during long hours of journey. Being the No.1 service provider of used vehicle &equipment in India, we witness huge footfall of truck drivers in our Automalls, so we understand what they go through on daily basis. So, these hacks are for them to help themselves have a safe and sound journey.

Safety Truck Driving Hacks for Truckers:

      Be alert & avoid phone

Always be aware about everything going around you. When rolling down the highway, especially in heavy traffic, try being aware of who’s in front of you, beside you and behind you at all times. Try to avoid phone, if it’s important park the truck somewhere safe and then get back to the person calling you.

Check weather reports

Prior to departing for the long journey, check weather reports to be ready for all the things that could go wrong on the way as prevention is always better than cure. And also keep an eye on the road to check the change road condition due to change of weather.

Avoid traffic

If you are driving a heavy, loaded truck try to avoid traffic, as any mishap could risk the life of other road commuters around you. And greater the traffic, greater are the odds of an accident.

  Check out delivery spots

While delivering to somewhere new, prefer to get down from your truck and inspect the place on foot, this will give you break as well as will help you learn if the delivering place even have enough space to bring a truck over there.

Leave room in front of your Vehicle

Always leave space in front of your vehicle, no matter what. It’s understandable that it gets quite frustrating when everyone around you is driving faster than you, but it helps you only to stay out of trouble of hurting someone and severe accidents.

 Be extra cautious at night

Truckers at night should always be extra cautious and attentive as it could be quite dangerous on being on road at night with heavy loads. If you are felling sleepy and distracted, prefer to take some rest and restart your journey after you feel fit for it.

Change lanes as little as possible

Try not change lanes often, as that could confuse the vehicle drivers around you resulting in collision. If you do find it necessary to change lanes, move over very carefully, being aware of your blind spots, while constantly checking your mirrors.

  Slow down

Yes. Accept the fact that you are not driving a car or a motorcycle; you are driving a fully loaded huge truck. Always take the corners and ramps very slowly. Be upright.

           Use a trucker’s GPS

Use the GPS especially made for you to learn the important information on which exit to take, distance before exit, when to change lanes, traffic reports etc.

Take breaks and check your rig

Take small breaks, stretch yourself, refresh yourself and take a walk around your truck while giving attention to the detail, check the load you are carrying. If something seems absurd, fix it right there, right then.

SAMIL, while serving you hope for your safe and sound journey. As driving a truck involves a great deal of skill, loads of responsibility for the safety of others and the driver himself and most importantly good common sense as well.
