We at Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL) introduced the Physical Auction concept for pre-owned vehicles & equipment in India by inaugurating our first Automall in Chennai on February 26, 2011. Since then, we have been conducting hundreds of physical auctions in every month at over 100 Automalls across India.

STEPS OF PARTICIPATION IN PHYSICAL AUCTION:

Register to bid at Automall: To participate in Physical Auction, customers need to register by presenting PAN Card (mandatory) and Address Proof document (i.e., Passport or Driving License or Voter’s ID or Adhaar Card) and submitting Refundable Security Deposit (RSD) of Rs. 19,999. Registered customers will be given a Bidder Book with unique bidder number on the cover.

Inspection of Vehicles & Equipment: Prior to auction, the pre-owned vehicles & equipment are put on display in an Automall. Customers can visit the Automall and make a choice after properly examining the vehicles.

Be Seated in Auction Hall: After all the formalities, the bidder walks into Auction hall to participate in the Auction.

Listen to the auctioneer: Customers need to listen the auctioneer carefully as he introduces each lot and call for bids.

Watch the bid catcher carefully: Bid catcher conveys your bids to the auctioneer. So, observe the bid catcher carefully to place your bid.

Raise your Bidder Book to bid: To place your bid, you need to raise your Bidder Book. Bid catcher communicates if you have been outbid and need to bid again.  

Highest Bidder Wins: To win a vehicle, bidders make sure that their quoted amount is the highest. Out of all bids received, only the highest quote wins.

Pay and Take Delivery of your desired vehicle or equipment: Once a bidder quotes the highest bid on a vehicle, his RSD amount is deducted from the price quoted by him. Successful Bidder has to pay a minimum ten percent (10%) of the highest bid amount of the asset to Seller/Owner on the same day of declaration and balance amount should be paid within seven (7) calendar days from the date of declaration.
