Winters Are Coming – Make Sure Your Used Truck Is Well Prepared

Winters are straight up ahead & you got to make sure that your trucks runs well day after day. So today we bring you the tips to take care of your used truck in winters:

Keep your trucks running at highway speed in extreme temperature so that it generates the required heat & power to keep the engine running.

Plug in the engine block heater on all diesel trucks every night - even when the temperature feels warm. The longer a truck sits, the more crucial it is to plug it on.

Avoid cold soaks. Cold soaks occur when the engine fluids and the steel of the engine block drop to medium temperatures. This happens when a vehicle sits for more than a day and it impacts starting and charging systems.

Base your fuel needs on your destination weather. Use winter weight fuel when driving north and consider fuel additives.

Check your tires often. Freezing temperatures can cause slippery driving conditions. Having correctly inflated tires in good condition will help prevent breakdowns and accidents.

Have drivers pre-trip their trucks daily. This should include inspecting their vehicle for frozen components like trailer doors, power cords, etc. If they have any safety, starting, fuel or heater defroster-related problems, drivers should complete a Driver’s Vehicle Condition Report so the issue can addressed immediately.

Always carry an emergency kit with you: extra gloves, boots and blankets; flares; a small shovel and sand or kitty litter; tire chains; a flashlight and extra batteries; and a cell phone and extra car charger. Put a few “high-energy” snacks in your glove box in case there is a situation of emergency.

Repair or Replace Your Car: Guidelines To Decide

We often come across situations, when we don’t know, whether we need to get our car repaired or to replace it. Some cars do last for a long time but it’s not the case with every car, so you should stop thinking to get more from your car. But how would you know if you need to give up on it or get it repaired and run it for some more time? We will provide you with some guidelines to make your decision an easier one.

Evaluation of your vehicle

Inspect your vehicle and evaluate its condition so that you can take further steps. You can do this step after making a checklist by yourself or can get a mechanic to perform this step. Evaluating the condition of your vehicle will give you the exact report and you will be able to know the potential of vehicle and its problem.

Determine Future Maintenance Cost

Assemble maintenance schedules as according to the mileage of your car and mileage required in future. Take your car to the mechanic of your trust and pay them to inspect the car as according to the maintenance schedules. The cost of these inspections should be fairly inexpensive, and the information they will provide will be more than worth the expense. Add up all recommended repair costs plus all previous repairs during the year. Divide this number by 12 to determine your average repair cost for the given year. This number will not however include any breakdown or unexpected repairs.

How much is your car worth

After getting every piece of information from both the steps above, you now need to determine the value of your vehicle. Also determine the value of competitive cars that are available around you, this will help you to know the real worth of your car. It is important to know the worth of your car, to make you able to get the best price if you are planning to dispose off your car.

Cost of your next Car

Now that you have determined your yearly repair costs, the value of your current vehicle, and a possible sales price you must calculate the monthly payment of the new car. Paying a larger down payment on the new car will lower the monthly payment. Keep in mind you are replacing a vehicle that you know will be incurring future repair costs, so don't take on more money debt than you can handle. Hopefully you have a month or two before these expected repair bills will be required, so you will have some time to price shop the new car, and have time to sell your current vehicle.

If you can’t purchase a new car due to shortage of funds, don’t worry, just connect with Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL). SAMIL provides a wide range of used non commercial and used commercial vehicles in India.  You can own the car of your choice easily by accessing SAMIL’s online as well as physical bidding platforms and get the best deals. Benefits of Purchasing Pre-owned Trucks

Trucks in India are considered as lifeline for all major trade and commercial activities. They are considered very essential for smooth flow of commercial activities and are broadly categorized into three types, namely Heavy Commercial Vehicles, Medium Commercial Vehicles and Light Commercial Vehicles.

In spite of unorganized nature of companies engaged in movement of goods, truck operation in India seems to be fairly efficient. Today while purchasing any vehicle, people search for options to save their money; and considering this demand of people, many companies have come up with platforms to help customers acquire Pre-owned trucks or commercial vehicles easily. Acquiring used trucks online is a good option with many advantages such as listed below

Reduced cost is one of the most important advantages to be considered while purchasing a Pre-owned truck. You can save your money as well as upgrade your choice to an upper model at the same time.

If you are considering acquiring a used vehicle, you can choose from a wide variety of options. This wider collection leads a lengthy search, but in the end a good truck deal will make all the pain dissolve. As it is said, no pain no gain.

Depreciation is another advantage of buying a used truck. All vehicles depreciate in value while new vehicles lose 30 percent of their value in the first two years, used vehicles depreciate slowly. There’s also less mental depreciation and less worries about modifications.

Like financing, insurance rates will be affected by the age of truck, but in this case the used ones finance tends to be less expensive.  Acquiring pre-owned truck will not only save your money, but will also allow savings on its insurance. Auto insurance companies typically charge less for a policy on a pre-owned vehicle as compared to a new one.

Confused about buying a used truck? Just connect with Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL) to get solutions for the demand of your pre-owned vehicles. SAMIL deals in commercial vehicles as well as non commercial vehicles and equipment and provide its customers with platforms from where they can acquire the vehicles of their choice.

Everything on the Kwid is brand-new - platform, engine, styling and cabin layout. The Kwid is based on a new CMF-A platform. CMF, by the way, stands for Common Module Family. It's similar to VW's MQB platform and Merc's MFA structure. It's a flexible platform and a lot of new Renaults will be based on this platform. Under the hood of this nicely-designed car is a 3-cylinder, 799cc petrol engine. It churns out 53bhp and 72Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The engine and the gearbox are cast in aluminum to save weight.

The Kwid is 3679mm long, 1579mm wide and 1471mm tall. It is bigger than the Alto and the Eon. What's also a segment-best is the wheelbase: 2422mm. It allows for more room in the cabin, with more space than any other compact hatch for the rear passengers. The boot, too, is bigger than that of any other compact hatch. The volume space is 300 liters.

Renault calls it "SUV-inspired" because the Kwid boasts rugged plastic cladding at the front, side and rear. It sits much higher than its competition, with the lowest point on the underbelly being 180mm off the ground.

Inside the cabin, the Kwid gets toys no other car in its segment gets. It has a full digital dash and multimedia console that's borrowed from the Duster. It's got Bluetooth connectivity, satnav, a 7-inch touch screen, USB and Aux-in.

Pagani Huayra

Pagani's factory in San Cesario is no guarded fortress. You can go into the lobby, they'll give you a guided tour of the factory, there are Huayras and Zondas all over the place. It's a friendly place. And occasionally you'll see a prototype, a test mule, or just a customer's custom car pulling out of the driveway like it's no big deal. It appears that's what we have here. This Huayra doesn't look too much different from the stock car. It's blue, the wheels look stock, and it just seems like any normal Huayra.

Lamborghini's $ The Centenario LP770-4

At the Geneva Motor Show next spring, Lamborghini will unveil a new limited production hypercar that they've already shown to prospective buyers in hologram form during Pebble Beach Car Week. Now, reports in French media (via Digital Trends) say that the new car's name will be Centenario LP770-4, a name chosen in honor of Ferruccio Lamborghini, who would be turning 100 in 2016. The run of 20 coupes is still anticipated, but apparently they've gone quiet on the roadster front.

Bugatti Veyron

One of the more unique aspects of Gran Turismo is the Vision GT series of concept cars that manufacturers are creating just for the game. Some of them are total fiction, while others are serving as prototypes or teasers for upcoming production cars.
The Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo is distinctly more production car teaser than shot in the dark fantasy.
