Nagpur – The First City in India with a Charging Station

It’s no new news that India is urging to go all hybrid till 2030. This dream, took it first step at Nagpur – City in Maharashtra by installing the first electric vehicle charging station in the country.

The station was installed by the oil marketing company; Indian Oil Company (IOC) has become India's first oil marketing company to set up a charging station at its petrol pump. Nagpur is also the first city to introduce electric public transportation in India.

The biggest challenge for the country, to be completely electric by 2030 is infrastructure, as manufacturers on their part is all set to bring the new range of fully electric vehicles by the time.

By 2020, India is expected to be the third largest in the world, as India's share of the global passenger vehicle market will jump from 4% in 2010-11 to 8% in 2020. Global passenger vehicle demand is expected to hit 108 million units of which 50% or around 54 million units will come from the Asia, Pacific and Africa region. India's passenger vehicle market is expected to hit 10 million units by 2020. That's the scale for India to just start working on for the 2030 target. Such a huge number of vehicles would obviously require a vast charging infrastructure.

India has nearly 56,000 fuel stations. Compare them with the number of community charging stations across the country—206. For an-all-electric-car target, India needs to ramp up infrastructure in a big way. Since the operating range of electric vehicles is low, India would need a humongous charging infrastructure. Creation of so many infrastructures also needs a clear-cut policy as technology is evolving and might keep changing.

All these initiatives are being implemented to improve the quality of air, in the country and to make Automotive Industry more economical and safe.

So, Wait for it and till then if you are looking forward to buy and sell used equipment or vehicles compliant with latest government emission norms, SHRIRAM AUTOMALL is the best place to visit.

Now Boost Your Fuel Economy in 6 Simple Steps

This summer, travel season is upon us and India is planning to change petrol and diesel prices every day in sync with international rates, like what happens in most advanced markets.

While, with change in rates market is going to fluctuate, before it gets completely stable, and we are going to hear a lot about hybrid and electric vehicles. But let’s face it, not everybody owns a hybrid or electric vehicle, and not everybody is convenient with it.

What if you have a family of 5 or more members; in that case these vehicle will not come in handy for you. And even if you have a family of less than 5 members, with the 12 hour journey ahead of you, you can’t expect members to sit uptight rather than being free while having their space, making their journey more of the torture than fun.

So, Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL), has brought the tips through which you can make your vehicle more fuel efficient, and also save some bucks for your journey, while being a responsible citizen.

All you have to do is follow these steps:
So, let’s go..!

Don’t Carry Dead Weight

Traveling with excess weight in your vehicle makes your engine burn fuel faster thus degrading your fuel economy, so prefer leaving what you don’t need right where it belongs and i.e. not in your car.

 Use Old Engine Oil

Change the oil in your car according to your vehicles maintenance schedule, and before you leave for the journey ahead of you prefer to change your engine oil, with old engine oil, as age of oil matters when talking about fuel efficiency

 Forget Your Bad Driving Habits

To maximize your fuel economy, you will have to change your petrol/diesel/gas guzzling ways as more steady and consistent your driving becomes, the more fuel efficient your vehicle will be.

Accept that Cruise Control Won’t Help You

It’s a myth, so don’t fall for it, as you can see it for yourself, set the cruise at 60 MPH and listen to how hard your engine accelerates when you drive up an inclined section of freeway making your engine burn more fuel, than required.

Keep Tires of Your Car Properly Inflated

Under-inflated tires drastically affect your fuel economy and everybody knows that, so do yourself a favor, and swing by your local gas station and make sure to check your tire pressure.

 Avoid Traffic

Try to following the apps which tells real-time traffic and construction updates right on your phone, as now, you can stop being stuck in the traffic off-guard and be fuel efficient.

We believe this blog  will help you in maximizing the mileage of your car, if you are looking forward to more tips and tricks or to improve your vehicle’s on road worth, visit your nearby Automall, as our professional team will be there to assist you with all types of Automotive requirements.

SAMIL – OFFERING USED VEHICLES AT OPTIMAL PRICES FOR BS-VI TESTING

Bharat Stage emission standards, known as BS norms are emission standards, introduced in 2000 by central government to regulate the output of air pollutants from internal combustion engine equipment, including motor vehicles.

It’s no new news that India is looking forward to vehicles compliant with BS-VI emission norms by 2020 directly from BS-IV, thereby skipping BS-V. This process of updating automotives from BS-IV directly to BS-VI has put a lot of pressure on automotive manufacturers and oil refineries, which makes them doubtful for the completion of this task on time.

As BS-VI compliance will have far reaching implications for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), especially in the diesel engine segment. The new emission regulations will also make the diesel engine tighter.

Moreover, government is looking forward to collect data on real-time basis from on-road vehicles complied with theses emission standards from 2020-2023, when these norms will be applicable for Conformity of Production (COP).

Till then government, has already approved testing agencies to pick up vehicles, with manufacturers and suppliers consultation to practice these emission norms practically and for normal checks.

Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL), being the largest platform for Acquisition and Disposal of pre owned vehicles in India, while backing up the government decision to make Indian Auto Industry compliant with BS-VI emission norms by 2020, offers huge range of used vehicles of every make and model at optimal range for testing BS-IV.

“We always look forward to work with our work ethics intact, while keeping in mind all the recently amended rules and regulations government has made mandatory, for better and safe on-road driver experience.” added Sameer Malhotra (CEO, Shriram Automall)

NEWLY AMENDED AUTOMOBILE BILL – TRANSFORMING TOMORROW

Motor vehicles including, automobiles was first introduced in India at the end of 19th century. And to regulate their use 1914 Act was the first to be codified which had 18 sections under it.

Government plays a vital role in a citizen’s life by implementing laws and regulations as they are warnings for our safety only and we must follow it, as good laws are the offspring of bad actions only. With evolving times laws for automobile also evolved, from 1914 Act to Indian Motor Vehicle Act1924, Motor Vehicles Act 1939, which came into force in 1940.

Later, Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 was introduced which regulated all aspects of road transport vehicles including both transport and non-transport vehicles. The Act provides details of legislative provisions regarding licensing of drivers/conductors, registration of motor vehicles, control of motor vehicles through permits, special provisions relating to state transport undertakings, traffic regulation, insurance, liability, offences and penalties, etc.

To exercise the above legislative provisions Government of India created Central Motor Vehicle Rules in 1989 and made sure that all the rules under the Act are enforced in a well organized manner, as no laws are better than laws not enforced.

Then again in 2016, Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the approval to new amended motor vehicle bill in 2016.

The step was taken to address the issue of road safety and to enhance the customer experience while dealing with the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways which is constituted of Group of Transport Ministers.

Amendments on the existing rule were made to improve the transport scenario in India and to address the issue of road safety by lowering down accidents and fatalities by 50% as over 5 lakh road accidents in a year are reported in the country in which over 1.5 lakh people lose their lives.

The bill aims to amend 68 sections out of 223, it also state the increase in compensation for hit & run cases from Rs. 25000 to Rs. 2 lakhs and payment of compensation upto Rs 10 lakh in road accidents fatalities.

In case, of offence committed by the Juveniles owner/guardian will be deemed guilty and juvenile to be tried under JJ Act, registration of the vehicle would be cancelled as well.

With the aim to properly implement the bill electronic detection devices will be installed to detect the violation like juvenile driving, drunken driving, driving without license, dangerous driving, over-speeding, overloading etc. and people who will break these rules will face strict punishments.

Bill also contemplate to mandate the automated fitness testing of vehicles by october’2018 which will reduce the corruption in transport department while decreasing the human interference and will also increase the road worthiness of the vehicle.

Government is playing its part for pollution free India, but laws alone cannot secure the country until every man present in the country follows them in an organized manner.

So, let’s come together and help government to work towards the common vision of pollution free advance India.

Construction Equipment Industry- A Positive Transformation on the Roll

Although, the past three years have primarily witnessed a continuing slow down for the Indian construction equipment industry, the situation seems to be on a complete transformation drive now. With the focus of the new government shifting towards increased investment in the development of infrastructure in the country, the construction equipment industry witnesses a corresponding thrust in its sale figures this year. Several stuck-up projects from earlier are now being given a green flag along with some favorable initiatives being taken in terms of refinement of the old confining policies.

As per media reports, the first five month period of the year has brought about the good times back for the industry, which has greatly contributed in enhancing the positive sentiment back in the market. The pre-owned construction equipment in particular is too on a rise with the new positive developments in the infrastructure industry. The heightened numbers in terms of infrastructure building has led to the construction business owners reviving their interest in varied used construction equipments for all their requirements. Construction equipments not only make the process easier, quicker and systematized, but also reduce the cost as well as the uncertainty which comes in from dependability on human resources.

As these equipments are heavy and are available in varied types for different functions required to be executed for different projects, there is a growing popularity of the second hand construction machinery in the country for it is much more affordable as compared to the new one. We see a drastic change in the people’s perception with regard to new v/s pre-owned. Individuals as well as businesses both are far more realistic and practical these days as opposed to a few years back when the thought of pre-owned was looked down upon and was merely the cup of tea of the less privileged ones. And with the new Government reforms in infrastructure boosting the economy, the market is all set to boom and transform from its state of slump from past three years.

In case you or an acquaintance is on the lookout for purchasing any of the usedconstruction equipments and vehicles, you have come to the right place.
