FY 2016-17 began with a positive note for all segments

Year 2015-16 which ended on a positive note for the automobile industry speculated the year 2016-17 to further increase the demand considering the factors like introduction of 7th Pay commission, price of petrol & diesel and lower rate of interest. Proving all the factors right the month of April witnessed good number of sales in all segments in spite of price hikes by automakers which has boosted the momentum.
All major OEMs posted a good number of sales growths in comparison to April 2015. Festive mood of people thanking the occasions of New Year (Gudi Padwa, Baisakhi, Vishu, Bihu, Ugadi and Cheti Chand) offers. Top passenger vehicle players like Maruti Suzuki India, Hyundai Motor India and Mahindra & Mahindra – posted healthy sales figures to kick-start 2016-17 on a high note. Like the last fiscal, the medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) segment continues to grow in double digits but importantly light used commercial vehicles have posted positive numbers, signaling overall growth in the sector.

The only negative factors which lead to decline in the sales of Diesel vehicle is the continuing diesel vehicle ban above 2000 cc in the National Capital Region because of which some major OEMs like Honda, Toyota, Mercedes etc. were not able to pull through the last year sales, however they are confident that this year will be a good one and all the arrears will be met with high number of sales.

Meanwhile the sales of used vehicles & equipment are also on a record high thanks to coming of organized players in the industry like Shriram Automall. The company offers widest range of used vehicles & equipment of all make and models under one roof to choose from at competitive price.

Auto Industry Backing Governments Plan to Retire Old Vehicles

Governments plan to retire old vehicles of 15 years and above is a news of past, it is currently working on planning an incentive scheme to excite owners to voluntarily retire their old vehicles. Now the auto industry is also baking the government’s decision by offering direct discounts over above government’s incentive scheme.

Government as per latest reports is awaiting a final plan of action from its authorized agency for retiring old vehicles. A person who opts to retire his vehicle will get a certificate from registered scrapyards, which could be used to avail incentives (such as tax rebates) from the government.

Meanwhile respecting the demand from the government the automobile industry will also be offering additional benefits over and above the government incentives like discount on purchase of new vehicle if a person provides the certificate of scrapping to the dealer.

This new move is intended to enable the entry of cleaner vehicles on the roads that emits less pollution when compared to the old ones. Also the move when implemented will also increase the demand for new vehicles all around the country as large number of people will opt to change their old car amid the incentives they will be getting.

As per the words of the ministry officials the policy will still take around 6 months to get implemented in full swing.

While the policy is still a work in progress you can in the meanwhile sell your used vehicles at Shriram Automall anywhere in India. The company follows an easy process to buy or sell used vehicles in India through their transparent bidding platforms.

Shriram Automall’s Strong Presence in Tier-II & Tier-III cities

Shriram Automall – India’s largest service provider for exchange of used vehicles & construction equipment has a strong presence all over the country, currently the company operate through 56 well structured Automalls ranging from National highways to even remotest corners. Talking about the Tier 2 & Tier 3 cities we are planning to expand in cities like Agra, Aligarh, Coimbatore, Dhanbad, Mangalore, Nagpur, Nashik & Solahpur, where people from these locations will get benefit through our professional services.

60 inaugurated Automalls is the number the company aims to achieve by the end of FY 15-16 & 70 by the end of FY 2016-17, in both Tier-II & Tier-III cities the strong presence with top performing Automalls like like Trichy, Madurai, Pondicherry, Salem, Tirunelveli, Coimbatore, Vijayawada, Warangal, Visakhapatnam, Hubli, Nellore, Patancheru and Rajahmundry generates majority of the business. We see a good demand for Agricultural Equipment, Passenger Vehicles & Two Wheelers in these cities.

When we talk about cities of different tiers we find huge difference in the mentality of customers. Talking about the customers from metro cities, these people are relatively easier to convince & persuade. They don’t come with a specific vehicle requirement in mind & can opt for other vehicle options in case of unavailability of a specific model. They prefer to communicate in English & takes less time in making a buying decision. Mostly we see they demand for used PVs, Fleet of Trucks etc.
On the other hand the customers from the tier 2 & tier 3 cities are more rigid on the choice of vehicle they want, they prefers to communicate in their regional language, takes time in deciding the vehicle of their choice. They consider price as one of the most important factor before buying a vehicle. Majority of vehicles they demand are tractors & Passenger vehicles.

Shriram Automall aims to strengthen its presence in these areas through our upcoming Automalls in cities like Agra, Aligarh, Coimbatore, Dhanbad, Mangalore, Nagpur, Nashik & Solahpur, where people from these locations will get benefit through our professional services.

Automobiles, all set to cost more in Maharashtra

Automobiles like bikes, cars, scooters, public transport, and auto rickshaw will now cost more in Maharashtra as the government has proposed to hike the Motor vehicle tax on all vehicles in order to fight one of the worst draughts in the state’s history.

Finance Minster of Maharashtra Sudhir Mungantiwar presenting budget on Friday said “the government will revise the existing Motor Vehicle Tax system. “Instead of levying tax on the basis of whether the vehicle is registered as a personal vehicle or company or office vehicle, we now propose to levy Motor Vehicle Tax on the basis of the cubic capacity of the vehicles”

Under the revised system of tax, private vehicles of up-to 99cc will have 8 per cent tax, those between 100cc and 299cc 9 percent while the ones above 300cc will be taxed 10 per cent. In case of a company or any undertaking the vehicles will attract just the double of the new proposed tax. For example a company vehicle above 300cc will attract a tax rate of 20 per cent now.

The state will continue to tax more on petrol & diesel due to draught in state & aims to earn overall net additional revenue of Rs. 363 Cr.

With the rise in the tax structure for new automobiles we will see a positive incline of people to buy used automobiles in order to save them from paying the extra amount. The ratio between new & used vehicle ratio has always been 1:1 most of the times, however with these changes in tax we can expect the ratio to change & used vehicle segment to attract more buyers.

If you are looking to buy a usedvehicle in Maharashtra than Shriram Automall is the right place to come. The company offers widest range of all used vehicles & equipment including construction equipment, commercial vehicles, agricultural equipment, passenger cars and two & three wheelers.

You can visit the companies Panvel, Aurangabad, Chandrapur and Mumbai Automall to buy the best used vehicles easily.

Ford launches its all new Endeavour 2016

The world of SUV’s in India has been dominated by not much of players other than the Ford, Toyota & some premium brands lime Audi & BMW. Lately we have observed immense competition between the Ford Endeavour & the Toyota Fortuner, however the later went to miles ahead due to its latest technology & up to date features. However now the Endeavour is back with its all new model since 2009 to take the competition on its head & prove its metal again.

The all new design gives it a bulky look & makes its better looking than its predecessors. Sporting a bright red color the SUV definitely stands a step ahead when compared to its competition. New styling elements like LED daytime running lights, skid plate and a humongous grille makes it a class apart.

The company has managed to deliver a classy interior with a combination of beige & black color with an up to date infotainment system dominated by a 8 inch TFT touch screen having the SYNC 2 Infotainment system. Big & fully automatic steering wheels that have features to control your music system, answer calls etc.

Ban On Diesel Vehicles Above 2000cc Boosted The Used Vehicles Market Growth

The new law by Supreme Court for ban of diesel vehicles above 2000 cc comes in as a breath of fresh air for the used car market industry. With the date of effect of the ban the market has seen a steep increase in the number of enquiries for the affected models.

Large manufactures including Audi, Mahindra, Ford, BMW, Hyundai, Tata and Toyota are witnessing major decline in enquiries of new their makes. Top models that are mainly effected includes include Toyota Fortuner, Mercedes A Class, Ford Endeavour and Porsche Cayenne. On the other hand enquiries & page views for all the above in used car segment has been increased.

In an immediate effort to curb rising pollution Supreme Court has banned the registration of luxury SUVs and diesel cars above 2000cc in the national capital as diesel cars are believed to be a major source of vehicular emissions.

In Delhi alone, 1400 diesel vehicles are registered every day, 30 per cent of these being strapped with engines of 2000 cc and above. It is the largest luxury car market in the country for car makers such as Mercedes, Audi and BMW making up for as much as a quarter of 38,000 luxury cars projected to be sold in the country by the end of this year.

The used vehicle market which is growing at 15-20% per annum is likely to show an increased growth this year due to the diesel vehicle Ban in the city. Now organized players like Shriram Automall who facilitates transparent exchange of used cars in India is making sincere efforts to offer widest lineup of used diesel vehicles in the city to help people overcome this problem in an easy way.

Shriram Automall is India’s first & largest platform to offer exchange of used vehicles at best price & time.
