The new law by Supreme Court for ban of diesel vehicles above 2000 cc comes in as a breath of fresh air for the used car market industry. With the date of effect of the ban the market has seen a steep increase in the number of enquiries for the affected models.

In an immediate effort to curb rising pollution Supreme Court has banned the registration of luxury SUVs and diesel cars above 2000cc in the national capital as diesel cars are believed to be a major source of vehicular emissions.
In Delhi alone, 1400 diesel vehicles are registered every day, 30 per cent of these being strapped with engines of 2000 cc and above.
