National Highway Authority Of India Plans 50,000 KM Road Network Giving A Boost To Construction Equipment Industry

NHAI yesterday has shared its plan to construct 50,000 KM of road network in the next five to six years with an investment potential of nearly USD 250 billion (about Rs 17 lakh crore). The announcement was made yesterday by NHAI Chairman Raghav Chandra during the Make in India event.

The announcement comes in as a breath of fresh air as the construction equipment industry is looking for a booster to get revived in the country. Chndra also demanded the assistance of private sector to help the body in achieving their goal which means the project will be come in as a joint venture between the government & private sector. He said “We want the private sector to partner us to achieve this target. It is a stupendous job and private partnership is critical. We want private sector assistance not only for funding but also to bring in new technology and innovation in design and also their competency in management of these roads”

TVS Apache RTR 200 Launched

TVS Apache, one of the most compelling racer bikes in India has recently unveiled its all new RTS 200 which comes as a successor of RTS 160 & 180 this year. The bike sports an all new chassis & engine when compared with the earlier version; it would be apt to say that the bike is a whole new product except the name & design. Passenger Vehicle Market in India – The Complete Picture

The fact is not unknown that the passenger vehicle segment is one of the most growing & productive segment of the Indian Automobile industry along with the Two Wheeler Segment. 2015 has been the year the industry was looking forward to, with the change in government, its policies, rate cut by RBI; the segment witnessed marginal growth. The Commercial Vehicle Market in India – All You Need to Know

While we have seen a positive sentiment in the market for commercial vehicle sales in the FY 15-16, the new research conducted by CRISIL projects that the overall Commercial Vehicle market will grow in the coming year 2016-17.

Year 2015 saw various fluctuations while the Light Commercial Vehicle segment saw a decline of (3)-(-5) in sales, the Medial & Heavy Commercial vehicle segment posted a sales increase of 22-24%, busses segment also saw a considerable rise in sales by posting 11-13% increase in sales, while in total the overall commercial vehicle market grew by 5-7%.

As per the reports by CRISIL in 2016-17 all the verticals of the Commercial Vehicle segment will witness a healthy increase, that will eventually make the segment grow at an increasing speed. LCV sales to recover slightly in 2016-17 on higher consumption spend and improved financing availability. Despite lower growth trajectory, MHCV sales to sustain at healthy levels in 2016-17, growth forecast to moderate over a high base due to slowdown in replacement demand by LFOs despite modest improvement in macroeconomic signals (industrial growth, infrastructure projects, mining activity & agricultural output)

The report as per its forecast till 2019-20 believes that the industry will have a moderate growth where LCV segment will grow by 11-14%, MHCV segment will grow by 10-12%, Buses segment will grow by 8-10% & the overall growth will be 10-13%.

While the new commercial vehicle market will grow at a good pace, the used commercial vehicle market will also be witnessing the same boom, going by the current ration of 1:1 the number will increase at a good pace.

Auto Expo 2016, the world of new possibilities will be coming to an end today. The spectacular platform which witnessed a launch of over 80+ products was visited by over 6 Lakh people in the 5 day event which is the highest when compared to any other motor show in the world.

Auto Expo 2016 is creating the required buzz, thanks to the number of new launches by top manufacturers around the globe. As told earlier the show had more than 80 new launches & will witness a crowd of roughly 6 lakh people together.

Maruti Vitara Brezza - Designed & developed entirely in India the Brezza is 3995 mm long and 1790 mm in width. It’s height is 1640 mm. It has 378-litres of boot space and tyres are 16-inch wide.

Hyundai Carlino – The company revealed its upcoming sub-compact SUV’s concept at the Auto Expo along with the preview of updated Tucson and i20-based sub-compact SUV concept.

Bajaj Launches The all new Bajaj V, Made of INS Vikrant Scrap Metal



Kudos to Bajaj for thinking out of the box & coming up with a bike that strike just the right patriotism chord in the heart of Indian consumers on the republic day. Yes we are talking about the Bajaj V which is launched today & the deliveries in India will start within a month.

Bajaj aired its first commercial on 26th January 2016 which stroked the right feeling of patriotism in the heart of people. On the launch Eric Vas, President, Bajaj Motorcycles, said, "After the news to dismantle INS Vikrant came in 2014, we decided to do something about it. INS Vikrant is a symbol of India's military power projection and Bajaj wanted to remind the nation, and also remember, INS Vikrant's story."

The production as commented on the event will begin next month & the deliveries will start from the first week of March. The all new cafe bike will be priced between Rs. 60,000-70,000 & will be produced at a quantity of 20,000 per month.

The bike features an air-cooled DTS-I 150cc two-valve, four-stroke displacement. In keeping with its target audience a kick-start has been offered as standard with an electric start variant on offer. It also offers a solid 1.2kgm of torque from 3,000rpm, while peak torque is available at 5,500rpm. Though no detail about the Mileage has been disclosed by the company but we believe that it will surpass the average of its sister Discover 150. As far as color options are concerned, Bajaj V is being offered with 2 choices: Ebony Black and Pearl White.

With the upcoming launch Bajaj is geared up to set the tone by beginning the New Year on the right note.
