This women’s day, want to be inspired to begin or advance
your automotive journey? We are here to both inspire & aspire you. But
first let’s talk about the statement we hear & use frequently “Women Can’t
Drive”.
If you think that’s right, then you are wrong, as men might
take more risks which indeed are quite not a good thing as according to the
research men are more responsible than women for accidents and that definitely doesn’t make them better drivers or riders.
And moreover women today are not
only the driver of a two-wheeler or a four-wheeler but also have become the
driving force of the automotive industry. Dealership
Owners, HR Personnel, Salespeople, Service Writers, Administrators, Marketers
and any women affiliated with the automotive industry is very impressively
helping it grow even further.
A woman today
has very effectively has created a name for themselves in this male dominating
industry, by working triple times harder than their male counterparts.
In India, even
in the 21st century women has limited choices of professions so they
mostly opt for vacancies in information technology, engineering or even
medicine, fashion designing sector. But with
changing times, women have started indulging themselves in the automotive
sector & are growing with the remarkable speed with efficiency of work.
Women are growing but still women in the industry occupying key positions can be counted on the finger tips. But we can
see if we look around that women are in every profession. So, yes very soon
women are going to grow in automotive sector as well while being the support
system for their women counterparts. As to excel in any profession all one need
is to achieve the physical & mental endurance for that particular
profession, as being a man or a woman doesn’t change the capability, knowledge
or determination of a person to its job.
Sameer Malhotra (CEO,
Shriram Automall) says: “Happy Women’s Day to all the admirable women who are
determined to rise in their own ways, on their own terms to make a name for
themselves. Being a CEO of a used automotive company, I am glad to share that
there is no doubt that women today are not only capable of driving well but
also is completely capable of doing anything & be anything in the
automotive segment of the country. In fact with women in this segment we can
expect more accuracy & innovation in the work done.”
