Maruti S-Cross and Hyundai Creta Simplified- Comparison

The Compact SUV segment of automotive industry in India is witnessing a continuous growth since the launch of Renault Duster in 2013. High Performance Engine with the Sporting look and many more similar features are the reasons for the like of the people towards the segment. The Recently launched Hyundai Creta and Maruti S-Cross of the SUV segment are expected to take this division to all new level where they are to face the competition from already established dominators of the segment Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport, Nissan Terrano.

When it comes to length S-Cross is slightly bigger than Creta however Creta grabs a point in being taller than S-Cross.  Ground clearance is one thing which is important while driving on Indian roads and here too Creta has more ground clearance to offer with 183mm while S-cross sits lower than the standards of the crossover.

The Hyundai Creta will be powered by the same three engine units that are paired to the current generation Verna - 1.4-litre CRDi diesel, 1.6-litre CRDi diesel and 1.6-litre VTVT petrol - the Hyundai Creta will be launched in a total of four trim levels - Base, S, SX and SX (Optional). While the 1.4-litre diesel engine-equipped model will come with a 5-speed manual gearbox, the 1.6-litre diesel and 1.6-litre petrol-engined models will get a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmissions.
